Time: 1 - 4pm
Dec 17-22 & Dec 26-Jan 1 |
Looking for an outing with a difference? Visit the unique Teddy Bear display at Bowen Island's Community Museum. The Museum's two small buildings house an amazing cast of more than 200 borrowed bears, of all sizes and personalities. The visiting bears star in scenes which include a Teddy Train, a Nutcracker ballet, an Edwardian Christmas, a gold and white Fairyland Fantasy and a Folktale Forest. Each year, the scenes are different so visiting bears have lots of fun playing new and different parts! However, the rugged life-size bear plays the same part each year, that of an old-time logger. Visiting celebrities include Harry Potter, Mary Poppins, Queen Elizabear, Chuck Beary and Bearnardo DaVinci and more. A Touch Me table allows visitors to handle bears which talk or move. Fun!
Visitors need not bring a car as the park-like museum site is just one block up from the ferry landing.
